About
Kings Canyon Online (KCO) is a dependent charter school within the Kings Canyon Unified School District, offering a flexible alternative to traditional high school. KCO delivers a standards-based, Common Core-aligned curriculum through a hybrid model that combines online coursework with individualized and group on-site support.
Students have access to A-G approved courses, Advanced Placement (AP) options, and a variety of electives through our online curriculum provider. We also offer targeted support for students who are behind in credit completion or need academic, social, or emotional assistance to thrive.
Our program is committed to providing a high-quality educational experience outside the traditional classroom, with a rigorous curriculum that challenges students academically and prepares them for the demands of the 21st century. Everything we do is designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge they need to graduate college- and career-ready.
Mission Statement
The mission of Kings Canyon Online practice the behaviors and value embodied in KCO P.R.I.D.E. and to provide rigorous, academic content integrated with technology in a learning environment that fosters the development of critical and independent thinking and learning. Perseverance, pride, integrity, drive, and excellence are the leadership qualities we desire all graduates to take with them into either college and career endeavors.
